Nissan Hyper Tourer Concept minivan to debut at Japan Mobility Show

Nissan has introduced the Hyper Tourer concept, a revolutionary all-electric minivan designed to reinvent shared travel. The Hyper Tourer concept, a luxury electric van, will make its premiere at the Tokyo Motor Show, which begins next week. The minivan is intended to be entirely driverless, using high-density solid-state batteries, vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology, and an emphasis on aerodynamics.

Its façade is made up of smooth body panels that evoke traditional Japanese beauty. For improved aerodynamic performance, the sides flow diagonally from the front to the rear fender. Nissan states that the Kumiko-patterned wheels and smooth, clean body lines give the idea a luxury vibe that goes beyond its class.

The Nissan Hyper Tourer concept sports a flat floor and a large interior as a result of the company's EV Technology Vision, a type of packaging that provides the minivan an "ultra-low" centre of gravity by integrating components and solid-state batteries. The configuration would also accommodate all of the essentials of a modern camper van.

Face-to-face conversations between front- and rear-seat passengers are possible because of the completely automated driving capability. The front seats swivel 360 degrees and the back passengers may use a wearable display to monitor and control the navigation and audio on the infotainment display.

In addition, an AI system monitors biometric signals and automatically changes mood lighting and music. It monitors brain waves, breathing patterns, sweat, and heart rate.

Nissan hasn't revealed much about the EV's powertrain, although it will sport Nissan's e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive system. We anticipate Nissan to release additional information about the aforementioned engine at the Tokyo Motor Show when the concept will make its public debut.

The Nissan Hyper Tourer mixes the essence of "omotenashi" (Japanese hospitality) with cutting-edge technology such as automated driving. The V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) capabilities and high-capacity battery also enable the supply of power to residences, stores, and workplaces while travelling and on numerous commercial occasions.
