Next-gen Ducati Monster teased

Ducati has teased the new generation Monster ahead of its debut on 23 October, it will feature an all-new 890CC engine and we can expect design tweaks as well.

The new Ducati Monster has been teased by the company on its social handles with debut on 23 October. It will feature the new 890CC V-twin engine that is now used by the new Multistrada V2, Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2. The 890CC V-twin engine is expected to produce 115-120 PS of power. Other changes include a new tank that was teased along with new decals, new subframe and slight tweaks on the design front. The company also teased an "M" lettering in design that hints at the new pattern of the tail light design.

Other changes could include sleek LED turn indicators, round LED headlamp with LED DRLs, and aggressive new tank to name a few. The rider aids could consist of a five-inch TFT dash, power modes, ride modes, ride-by-wire, launch control, cruise control, anti-lock braking system, cornering ABS, wheelie control, stoppie control, navigation, and smartphone tethering to name a few.

The outgoing Ducati Monster will set you back by Rs 13.84 lakh and we can expect the upcoming one to have a steeper price tag. The outgoing version's engine pushes a good 111 PS and 93.5 Nm of peak torque, we can expect a hike in the power figures as well.

The cycle parts could include a USD fork and a monoshock at the rear performing suspension duties and braking duties would be handled by a 300 mm or larger twin rotor up front and a single disc at the rear. The outgoing version rides on 17-inch wheels that come shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso III rubber.

The Ducati Monster locks horns with the likes of the Triumph Street Triple, Kawasaki Z900 and KTM 890 Duke to name a few.
