Triumph has teased the all-new Daytona 660 via its social media handles, revealing that the motorcycle will make its global debut on 9 January, 2024. The teaser pictures give glimpses of its fascia and engine displacement, hinting it will be based on the brand's current 660cc platform.

New Triumph Daytone 660: Design

The teaser picture posted on Triumph's official social media handle shows the Daytone 660 being ridden at night. The motorcycle bears the familiar Daytone trait - a dual headlight setup, which could come with integrated daytime running lights. It also has a fairly tall transparent windscreen. Going by the teaser, the riding posture appears quite committed with rear-set foot pegs. That being said, the overall design is likely to be reminiscent of the good old Daytona 675 and Daytona Moto2 765.

On the other hand, there is another picture displaying the number 660, which points at the engine displacement of the motorcycle and the motorcycles it is based on, the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport. It might also share some key components with the two said motorcycles.

New Triumph Daytona 660: Engine, power outputs, and gearbox

The new Daytona 660 will come powered by the 660cc, inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine that powers the on-sale Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660. Here, this motor makes 81PS at 10,250rpm and 64Nm of torque 6,250rpm. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. Having said that, Triumph could tune the engine according to the sporty nature of the Daytona.

New Triumph Daytona 660: Features and specifications

The upcoming Daytona is likely to feature traction control, cornering and dual-channel ABS, semi-digital or all-digital instrument console, bi-directional quickshifter, multiple ride modes, Bluetooth connectivity, dual front disc brakes, and a single rear disc brake, among others. Triumph is expected to offer a variety of other features and accessories as optional extras. Plus, it should get a pair of 17-inch wheels wearing Pirelli, Michelin, or Continental rubber.

New Triumph Daytona 660: India launch and price

We anticipate the motorcycle maker to introduce the new Daytona 660 in India later in 2024. Given the prices of the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport, which stand at Rs 8.12 lakh and Rs 9.34 lakh, respectively, the new Daytona 660 may come with a price tag of Rs 8.60-8.90 lakh.
