After the chain of teasers, Ather Energy has commenced bookings for its new 450 Apex electric scooter. The brand took to its social media accounts to make the announcement. Notably, the customer deliveries of the e-scooter are scheduled to begin in March 2024. Going by the teasers and the new suffix in its name, it is safe to say that the new 450 Apex will be the most powerful electric scooter in the company's line-up. Ather currently offers the 450X with two battery pack choices and an optional Pro pack along with the 450S in the country.

New Ather 450 Apex: Performance, range, and battery

What is confirmed from one of the social media posts of Ather is that the 450 Apex will get a new Warp+ mode in addition to the current Eco, Ride, Sport, and Warp ride modes available on its electric scooters. That being said, the 450 Apex is likely to come powered by the 3.7kWh battery pack or perhaps a slightly higher capacity unit paired with a more powerful electric motor that will exceed the power output of 6.4kW of the 450X. As a result, it should also be quicker in the 0-40kmph acceleration test as against the 3.3 seconds of the 450X.

While it could get a tad higher top speed of about 100kmph compared to 90kmph of its sibling, the range may take a toll given its performance-oriented character. For reference, the 450X has a certified range of 150km, while the true range stands at 110km.

New Ather 450 Apex: Features

The upcoming 450 Apex is likely to get all the features available for the 450X including a few additions, such as advanced regen, cruise control, and crawl control. Auto-hold function, OTA updates, Ather connect services, and a single disc setup at both ends are expected to be carried forward.

New Ather 450 Apex: Price

We expect the new Ather 450 Apex is likely to command a higher premium of around Rs 15,000-25,000 over the on-sale 450X, which, with a 3.7kWh and 2.9kWh battery packs, cost Rs 1,44,921 and Rs 1,37,999 (both ex-showroom, Bangalore), respectively. Whereas, the 450S is priced at Rs 1,29,999 (ex-showroom).
