New MG Hector and Hector Plus Launched. Prices Start at 11.99 Lakh

JSW MG Motor India has unveiled the all-new MG Hector in India, refreshing its flagship SUV with a sharper design, upgraded interiors and new technology features. Prices for the petrol range start at ?11.99 lakh (ex-showroom), with diesel variants slated to arrive in 2026

Visually, the new Hector adopts MG's updated 'Aura' design language. The SUV now gets a new Aura Hex grille, redesigned Aura Sculpt bumpers at the front and rear, and fresh Aura Bolt, 18-inch alloy wheels. Two new exterior colours, Celadon Blue and Pearl White, join the palette, further enhancing its road presence

Inside, MG has focused on elevating the cabin experience with new dual-tone interior themes. The five-seater version features a Dual Tone Ice Grey layout aimed at a more tech-forward look, while the six- and seven-seater variants get a Dual Tone Urban Tan theme for a warmer, premium feel. The interiors are further enhanced with Hydra Gloss finish accents and fabric seat inserts, along with features such as ventilated front seats, a six-way power-adjustable driver seat, and tilt-and-telescopic steering

Technology remains a core highlight of the Hector. The 14-inch portrait-oriented HD touchscreen, claimed to be the largest in the segment, now benefits from Smart Boost technology for faster and smoother operation. Making its debut is the first-in-segment i-SWIPE Touch Gesture Control, allowing multi-finger swipe inputs for functions like climate control, music and navigation. The SUV also introduces features such as a Digital Bluetooth Key with key sharing, predictive maintenance alerts, and a fully digital instrument cluster with a 17.78 cm embedded LCD screen.

On the safety and convenience front, the all-new Hector is equipped with a 360-degree HD camera with wheel view, aimed at improving visibility during tight manoeuvres. Standard safety features include ABS, EBD, ESP, traction control, hill-hold control and brake assist. Powering the petrol variants is a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 143 PS and 250 Nm, available with both manual and CVT gearboxes

MG is also offering flexible ownership benefits, including 100 per cent on-road price funding for up to seven years and full funding support for accessories. The SUV comes with the 'MG Shield' ownership programme, which includes a standard 3+3+3 package covering three years of unlimited-kilometre warranty, roadside assistance and labour-free services, with options to extend coverage further.
