New Aston Martin DB12 India launch by Sept 2023
Aston Martin has set the stage to launch the new DB12 in India by this September. The grand tourer not only serves as the successor to the DB11 but is also a beginning of a new chapter for the brand. Aston Martin even calls it the world's first super tourer. What DB12 brings to the table is a new and modern design, and advanced and performance-oriented features and equipment, along with a new and tech-laden cockpit. Above all, it gets a more potent twin-turbocharged V8. Notably, the DB12 is also the first Aston Martin to debut the brand's new logo.
Aston Martin DB12: Design and interior highlights
Even with the new and modern design, the new DB12 embodies key attributes of a grand tourer. At the same time, the GT appears similar to the car it replaces, the DB11. Similarly, there are also a few design touches inspired by the DBS. A large grille, new headlights with integrated daytime driving lights, aggressive front and rear bumpers, bold side profile, C-shaped taillights, and a new set of 21-inch alloy wheels are its major design highlights.
On the inside, the fresh and plush cockpit adorns high-grade materials on every surface. There is a new in-house developed 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a large driver display, and an array of switches on the centre console.
Aston Martin DB12: The powertrain
Powering the DB12 is 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged, V8 petrol mill married to an eight-speed automatic transmission. This engine generates 680PS and 800Nm of torque. As a result, the grand tourer can reach 100kmph from a standstill in just 3.5 seconds and tops out at 325kmph.

Aston Martin has bestowed the DB12 with its new-gen adaptive dampers and new anti-roll bars. Additionally, it gets 400mm front disc brakes and 360mm rear disc brakes. The DB12 is the first-ever DB to boast an electronic rear differential, which can be either locked or Further, the grand tourer comes with three driving modes: GT, Sport, and Sport+.
