MG has offered a glimpse of the Comet EV's infotainment system for the first time ahead of its India debut scheduled for 19 April, 2023. Earlier this year, the brand fully revealed the exterior of the upcoming EV. It recently also shared a teaser picture of its interior.

MG Comet EV infotainment system: What is it?
The Comet EV features a single-piece panel that comprises a 10.25-inch fully digital driver display and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Interestingly, this setup resembles the Mercedes-Benz MBUX in terms of design.

MG claims that this system offers a bunch of advanced features, intuitive controls, and seamless connectivity. Although MG has not confirmed yet, the Comet EV is also likely to boast Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and USB Type-C or Type-A fast charging ports.

The touchscreen infotainment system houses a range of dissimilar widgets and three customisable menu pages, enabling access to numerous entertainment, navigation, and connectivity-related functions. In terms of controls, MG has given it a few physical switches, such as a voice command button, for easy access.

MG Comet EV: Interior
The brand recently teased the interior of the upcoming Comet EV. In addition to the dual-screen display, the electric vehicle gets a circular steering wheel with round buttons to control the driver display, media, and other functions. Additionally, the dashboard houses conventional switches for the air conditioning. Moreover, the centre console of the India-spec MG Comet EV could get a circular drive selector and electronic parking brake.

MG Comet EV: Exterior
The Comet EV is technically the rebadged version of the Wuling Air EV available in international markets, such as Indonesia. Therefore, MG's version features an identical design language. It comes with vertically-stacked LED lights, an LED light bar running across the width of the car, a full-length chrome trim below the windshield that adjoins ORVMs, a vertical rear quarter window, and a charging port at the front. The Comet EV is also expected to get funky colours.

MG Comet EV: Range, Battery, and Power Output
While MG has yet to disclose powertrain specifications, the India-bound Comet EV could carry the same battery packs as the Wuling Air EV, which offers 17.3kWh and 26.7kWh units with a claimed range of up to 200km and 300km. The power output for both battery packs is rated at 41PS.
