Mercedes-Benz introduces all-electric EQB in India at Rs 74.50 lakh
Mercedes-Benz has launched the all-electric EQB in India at Rs 74.50 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). Going on sale alongside the petrol and diesel-powered GLB, it is available in a single choice of trim, called the EQB 300 4Matic.
Mercedes-Benz EQB exterior
The EQB is an electric equivalent of the GLB. Therefore, it carries forward more or less the same design as its ICE-powered sibling. However, the EQB bears a few EQ family styling elements, such as unique daytime running lights adjoining a light bar above the closed-off grille, a light strip that adjoins the taillights, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and a fresh set of wheels.
Mercedes-Benz EQB interior
The interior of the EQB is identical to the GLB. It features the same MBUX setup, comprising a 10-25-inch driver information display and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system but with EV-specific information, user interface, settings, and apps.
Mercedes-Benz EQB features
The automaker has bestowed the electric SUV with a host of features, including an electric tailgate, 64 colours of ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, electronically adjustable front seats, seven airbags, multi-zone temperature control, LED headlamps, and so on.
Mercedes-Benz EQB range, charging, and battery pack
Powering the electric EQB is a 66.5kWh battery pack and a dual-electric motor setup, which makes 228PS and 390Nm of torque. The SUV promises a WLTP-certified driving range of 423km. It supports 100kW DC fast charging, which claims to recharge the battery pack from 10 to 80 per cent in 32 minutes. On the other hand, the EQB supports up to 11kW Type-2 AC wall box charger, charging it from 10 to 100 per cent in a claimed six hours and 30 minutes.
