Maserati has globally unveiled the all-new Maserati Grecale and as per Maserati, the car will be offered with a conventional internal combustion engine, a hybrid powertrain and in about a year's time, the Maserati Grcale will be the first all-electric SUV from the company.

The new SUV was developed at the Maserati Innovation Lab in Modena and will be manufactured at the Cassino facility.

The Maserati Grecale has a low and prominent grille on the front. Carbon fibre is also used to enhance the SUV's profile. The boomerang tail lights in the back are inspired by the Maserati Giugiaro 3200 GT.

At the time of the launch, Maserati will roll out 3 variants of the SUV. The GT variant will be powered by a four-cylinder mild-hybrid engine capable of 300PS. The Modena will be powered by a four-cylinder mild-hybrid engine capable of 330PS, while the powerful Trofeo will be powered by a high-performance 3.0-litre 530PS petrol V6 based on the Nettuno engine found in the Maserati MC20.

In Trofeo form, the Maserati Grecale will race from 0 to 100kmph in a claimed 3.8 seconds and will continue accelerating till it reaches 285kmph. To complete the whole range, the full electric Maserati Grecale will come with a 400V technology.

The classic Maserati clockface is one of the outstanding tech specifications within the interior. For the first time, thanks to voice control, it converts into a virtual in-car concierge. Everything is controlled by touch, and the technology is controlled by the screens. The 12.3-inch primary screen, an 8.8-inch display for the supplementary controls, and a third for the rear-seat occupants.

The Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) Multimedia system, as well as the  Maserati Connect, control the in-car experience. A Sonus faber 3D sound system is also included in the package. The Sonus Faber system comes with 14 speakers as standard at Premium level and 21 speakers on-demand at High Premium level.

The Maserati Vehicle Dynamic Control Module (VDCM) technology and 360-degree control are available to the car. Complete control translates into four drive modes: COMFORT, GT, SPORT, CORSA (Trofeo only) and OFF-ROAD.
