Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Innova Hycross-based Invicto MPV in India. There's very little that separates the 2 cars from each other. The Invicto, which is based on the Toyota Innova Hycross, will be built alongside the Hycross at Toyota's Bidadi facility, just as the Grand Vitara and Hyryder. Both cars are supported by a monocoque chassis based on Toyota's TNGA-C 'High' platform. Let's take a closer look what are key differences between the 2 vehicles.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto Vs Toyota Innova Hycross: Design

The easiest way to tell between the 2 cars is by the grille. The Toyota uses a much simpler grille compared to the Maruti Suzuki's. The Invicto has a distinctive chrome strip running horizontally in between the grille. The Invicto's headlights and taillights include Nexa's three-block distinctive design. The wheels are the most noticeable variation in profile between the Invicto and the Hycross. The Invicto has smaller 17-inch units instead of the Hycross' 18-inch monotone rims.

The Invicto has the same proportions as the Innova Hycross. It has a length of 4,755mm, a width of 1,850mm, a height of 1,795mm, and a wheelbase of 2,850mm.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto Vs Toyota Innova Hycross: Powertrains

Powering the Maruti Invicto is the 2.0-litre inline-four cylinder naturally aspirated strong hybrid powertrain mated to an e-CVT automatic transmission. It can produce a combined power output of 186PS.

The Hycross on the other hand also has a petrol-only offering that uses a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol with 174PS and 202 Nm, again paired with a CVT.

On the inside, the Invicto features new upholstery with champagne gold inserts. However, it carries forward more or less the same features as the Innova Hycross, such as the powered driver seat with memory settings, ventilated front seats, a dual-zone temperature control, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, seven-inch MID, panoramic sunroof, 360deg camera, cooled cup holders, powered boot opening, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, front and rear parking sensors, smartwatch connectivity and Alexa compatibility and electronic parking brake.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto Vs Toyota Innova Hycross: Variants and Prices

The Invicto is offered in three variants: Zeta+ (seven-seat), Zeta+ (eight-seat), and Alpha+ (seven-seat) while the Hycross is offered in 5 variants: G, GX, VX, ZX, and ZX (O). The Maruti Suzuki Invicto is priced from Rs 24.79 lakh to Rs 28.42 lakh while the Toyota Innova Hycross is priced from Rs 18.55 lakh to Rs 29.99 lakh.
