Maruti Suzuki E-Vitara claims a range of 543 km
The Maruti Suzuki E-Vitara has been unveiled and the company claims a range of 543 km on a full charge. It will be available in two battery pack options - 49 kWh and 61 kWh.

There are two battery options available in the eVITARA: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The smaller battery pack produces 144 PS of power and 193 Nm of torque. The variant with the 61-kWh battery has a power output of 174 PS and 193 Nm of peak torque. This was a two-wheel drive option, while there is a top variant called Ultra with a 61-kWh battery, which comes in two-wheel or All Wheel Drive options with a dual motor setup.
The company has setup over 2,000 charging point in over 1,100 cities, along with that, the brand aims to establish over one lakh charging points by 2030. Furthermore, the company has done an investment of 250 crore for charging infrastructure in the country. And in terms of service and aftersales, the company claims that it is ready with 1,500 EV workshops.
To demonstrate the strength of the charging network, four E-Vitaras were flagged off from Gurugram headed to four different directions, Srinagar-Kashmir in the north, Kanyakumari-Tamil Nadu in the south, Bhuj-Gujarat in the west and Dibrugarha-Assam in the East.
The company has also introduced the 'e for me' mobile application which include key functionalities like
- Locating and accessing charging points
- In-car app mirroring via infotainment system
- 'Tap N Charge' card support at dealer outlet and home charging
- Remote control of smart home chargers
- Integrated home and public charging management
- Payment through UPI or Maruti Suzuki Money
We can expect the launch of the Maruti Suzuki E-Vitara by early 2026. Upon launch, it will lock horns with then likes of the MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6 and MG Windsor EV to name a few.
