Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Ertiga and XL6 get new connectivity feature via OTA update
The connectivity functions of Maruti Suzuki's Baleno, XL6, and Ertiga have received a major upgrade. With the 9-inch SmartPlay Pro and Pro+ infotainment systems, all of these vehicles now include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection.
You may get the update if you own any of the three models using the SmartPlay Pro Sync smartphone app or at authorized Maruti service locations. The official Maruti website also offers a download link for the update.
The latest upgrade gives the Baleno's heads-up display (HUD) extra features, including turn-by-turn (TBT) navigation. The standard navigation system, Google Maps on Android Auto, and Apple Maps on Apple CarPlay are all compatible with the TBT navigation.
This TBT information will be shown on the multi-info display (MID) portion of the driver's instruments in the XL6 and Ertiga, which don't have a head-up display. The TBT navigation capability is still available in the MID of the lower-end Baleno models without the HUD, much like in MPVs. TBT is also compatible with the Google Maps component of Android Auto, but not with Apple Maps.
At absolutely no cost, the new update also includes an improved sound system. The newest Arkamys Surround Sense audio tuning is available for the XL6 and Ertiga. The top-spec Baleno already had this function, but it is now available on MPVs.
