Maruti Suzuki Fronx gathers over 5,500 bookings
The Fronx, a compact SUV from Maruti Suzuki, was unveiled on January 12, 2023 at the Auto Expo 2023 and has already received over 5,500 reservations prior to its official release. The crossover is anticipated to be released by the manufacturer in Q1 2023.
Both the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine and the new, three-cylinder, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol Boosterjet engine, both equipped with Maruti's mild-hybrid technology, will be offered as engine options for the Fronx. The former generates 100PS and 149 Nm, whereas the latter still generates 90PS and 113 Nm.
While the NA petrol engine comes with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission, the turbo-petrol engine may be had with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
There are five different versions available: Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha. Customers who are interested can select the crossover from three dual-tone and six monotone variants. Nexa Blue, Arctic White, Grandeur Grey, Earthen Brown, Opulent Red, and Splendid Silver are among the possibilities for monochromatic colours.
Earthen Brown with a Bluish Black roof, Opulent Red with a Bluish Black roof, and Splendid Silver with a Bluish Black roof are the available dual-tone colour options.
The nine-inch Smartplay Pro+ with Arkamys-powered surround sense, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, a dual-tone interior theme, paddle shifters in the automatic variant, wireless charging, hill hold assist and rollover mitigation, ABS with EBD, and brake assist are some of the key feature highlights.
