South Korean automaker Kia is geared up to preview a range of new products, including the new EV9 concept and fourth-generation Carnival at the upcoming 2023 Auto Expo in New Delhi. The Kia stall at the expo will also have an EV6 simulator and Technology zones that will demonstrate Kia Connect - a suite of connected car features.

The EV9 concept

The Kia EV9 concept was unveiled at the Los Angeles auto show in November 2021. Based on the E-GMP platform, it measures 4,929mm in length, 2,055mm in width, and 1,790mm in height with a wheelbase of 3,100mm. The EV9 concept is expected to provide a range of 450km. It could come with faster charging capability than the on-sale EV6. It is also likely to feature a dual-motor setup.

The concept vehicle previews a new design language of the brand with the reinterpreted tiger-nose grille. The chunky cladding, large tyres with aero alloy wheels, and unique front and rear lights dominate the design of the electric SUV. Inside, the cabin follows the unique design elements of the exterior. There is a single-piece display panel, a somewhat square-shaped steering wheel, and capacitive touch buttons.

The all-new Carnival

After revealing the fourth-generation Carnival in 2020, Kia will bring it to the Auto Expo. It features a completely overhauled design language. Hence it appears like an SUV. However, Kia has retained its sliding rear doors. Unlike the on-sale model, the new-gen Carnival boasts a fresh interior with a 12.3-inch dual-display setup and new colour schemes.

Kia has outfitted it with all the bells and whistles as its predecessor. Additionally, the Carnival gets ADAS. The international markets get a choice of 2.0-litre and 3.5-litre petrol engines, along with a 2.2-litre diesel motor option with the new-gen Carnival. Meanwhile, the new model is larger than the previous one in terms of dimensions.

Besides the new-gen Carnival and EV9 concept, Kia might showcase the Seltos facelift, Sorento, Sportage, and Niro. Notably, a statement issued by the brand stated that it would showcase 10 products at the auto expo.
