Kia India has already shown the 2024 Sonet facelift, which will come in three trim levels: Tech Line, GT Line, and X-Line. The Sonet facelift's prices are scheduled to be announced this month, with deliveries beginning in February. Each of the trims mentioned above has unique stylistic elements as well as variant-specific engine options. Let's take a closer look at the GT-Line and X-Line distinctions.

All trims include the new style elements, with small differences. The X-Line expands on the GT-Line trim and receives certain custom modifications, the most notable of which is the Xclusive Matte Graphite colour, which is exclusive to the X-Line.

Both trims get the same grille pattern but the GT-Line gets bits of silver around the grille and in the bumper while the X-Line gets those bits blacked out for a more aggressive look. The skid plate on the bumper too is finished in black on the X-Line variant.

Step into the Kia Sonet facelift X-Line and you'll see that the dashboard is completed in a distinctive black/sage green shade inspired by the Seltos X-Line. The inside of the GT-Line is completely black with white inlays.

Both trims include a wireless phone charger, a rear wiper washer, a 7-speaker Bose sound system, an air purifier, an anti-glare inside rear view mirror (IRVM), a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a new 10.25-inch digital driver's display, wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, and numerous ADAS features like forward collision warning, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, high beam assist, driver attention warning, and auto emergency braking. The X-Line gets a 4-way power driver seat and one-touch auto up-down function for all door power windows.

Kia Sonet X-Line vs GT-Line: Powertrain

The 120PS and 172Nm, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, and a 116PS and 250Nm, 1.5-litre diesel engine are the two powertrain options available on these two trims. You will have to step down to the Tech-Line variant if you want the less powerful 1.2-litre NA petrol engine.

The turbo-petrol and diesel engines maintain the 6-speed iMT, but the diesel now gets a 6-speed manual gearbox. The turbo-petrol and diesel engines are also available with 7-speed dual-clutch and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmissions.

Prices for the updated Sonet are scheduled to be published in early 2024. It will compete with the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, and Nissan Magnite once again.
