Keeway launches K-Light 250V cruiser, prices start at Rs 2.89 lakh
Almost a month after Hungarian brand Keeway came out with two scooters for the Indian market, the marque has announced the price for its third offering - a V-twin cruiser - the K-Light 250V. The K-Light 250v, which is currently the only V-twin 250cc cruiser in India, can be had for Rs 2.89 lakh (ex-showroom, India) in the Matte Blue colour scheme. You'll have to throw in 10k more if you fancy yourself a Matte dark Grey bike and Rs 20k more for the K-Light 250V in Matte Black.
The K-Light 250V is powered by an air-cooled, 249cc V-twin that produces a max 18.5PS and 19Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox which delivers all its grunt to the rear wheel via a belt drive. Braking hardware includes a front and rear disc with dual-channel ABS, while a USD front fork and dual rear shocks manage suspension duties.The Hungarian cruiser comes with an integrated GPS unit with a SIM card that connects to the KEEWAY application. An inbuilt battery powers the system and the vehicle can be accurately tracked to 2.5 meters of its vicinity and for up to three hours even with the main battery disconnected. Other key features of the application include remote engine cut-off, setting up of a geo-fence, maintaining ride records, max speed limit setting, and sharing location information with friends on community rides. For assistance during an emergency, the panic button feature helps transmit real-time location to two pre-set contacts via the app and also sets the process to avail roadside assistance.
Keeway, who is one of the many manufacturers who have entered the Indian market by partnering up with Hyderabad-based Adishwar Auto Ride India, says that deliveries for the new cruiser will begin mid-July 2022.
There's no direct competition to the Keeway K-Light 250V at this point in time, and its closest rivals come in the form of the RE Meteor 350 and the Jawa Roadster.
The quarter-litre cruiser was unveiled back in May along with two 300cc scooters from Keeway - Vieste 300 and Sixties 300i scooters - both priced at Rs 2.99 Lakh
