Hungarian automaker and sister company of the Benelli group, Keeway, has announced the introductory prices of its two scooters - Vieste 300 and Sixties 300i - and both are priced at Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The company also stated its plan to introduce a total of eight products across four categories by the end of 2022 in India. This will include two products each in the categories of high-end scooters, cruisers, sport motorcycles, and retro-street motorcycles.
Keeway Vieste 300
The Keeway Vieste 300 is a maxi-style scooter that sports an aerodynamic and modern-looking panel design. The scooter gets four LED projectors and DRLs for lighting up front, while its LED taillights and turn indicator signals sit flush with its sleek bodywork. The Vieste 300 comes with a keyless fob for added convenience and safety. This scooter is also powered by the same 278cc liquid-cooled four-stroke engine that prouces an identical 18.7PS of power and 22Nm of max torque, just like the Sixties 300i. However, this cooter does get a larger 12-litre fuel tank reservoir. Another unique bit about the Vieste 300 is that it comes with a Continental Belt Drive system, in addition to front and rear disc brakes, telescopic shock absorbers, and Dual-Channel ABS. This scooter is available in three colour schemes, namely - Matte Black, Matte Blue, and Matte White.
Keeway Sixties 300i
The Keeway Sixties 300i is styled like a retro classic scooter. Underneath all that old-school garb is a 278cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, liquid-cooled engine that produces a maximum power of 18.7PS at 6500rpm and a max torque of 22Nm at 6000 rpm. Features-wise, it gets a split-seat, retro-styled grille, full-LED headlight combined with dual LED brake lights and signal lights. A multi-function ignition switch incorporates the electric starter, the under-seat storage access, and a steering lock. The scooter comes with dual-channel ABS and disc brakes on its 120/70-12 tires/wheels on either end. The Sixties 300i is available in three colour schemes - Matte White, Matte Grey and Matte Light Blue.
