Is the Audi RS 6 Avant GT the pinnacle of station wagons?

The Audi RS6 Avant Performance is nearly perfect, meeting every single one of your demands. However, Audi has just released a special edition RS 6 Avant GT, which aims to redefine the limits of high-performance station wagons. The 2025 Audi RS6 Avant GT, limited to 660 units worldwide, was inspired by the 2020 RS6 GTO concept and is based on the Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO racing vehicle from the late 1980s.

The RS6 Avant GT is the first Audi to use carbon-fibre accents on its hood, with massive sections that begin at the hood's vents and extend almost all the way up to the windshield. The livery paint job and white wheels are the first things you notice, but a quick glance at the RS6 Avant GT reveals significant upgrades to the super station wagon. Audi also claims its enormous rear wing is nearly the same size as the one from the GTO concept.

Customers may select one of two special decal colours for the RS 6 Avant GT. The first, paired with an Arkona White finish, mixes Audi Sport's classic hues of black, grey, and red. Alternatively, the black and grey decals are available in the exterior colours Nardo grey or Mythos black.

Under the hood, Audi's 4.0-litre twin-turbo V-8 produces 630PS and 850Nm of torque, the same as in the RS 6 Avant Performance. An 8-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive are standard. Audi announced that the RS 6 Avant GTs would receive updated Quattro sport differential tuning for more rear-biased power distribution in Dynamic mode.

The top speed is 305kmph, while the 0-100kmph sprint takes 3.3 seconds, the same as the RS 6 Avant Performance variant.

For the first time, the RS6 Avant features adjustable coil-over suspension, which reduces the ride height by 10mm when compared to the RS6 Avant. Stiffer stabilizers at the front and rear should make the ride more sporty and decrease body roll, but customers may also choose the RS sport suspension with Dynamic Ride Control or adaptive air suspension. Carbon ceramic brakes are standard.

The inside is upholstered in black leather and Alcantara, with red quilted stitching on the seats. There are new sport bucket seats with carbon backing and limited edition badging in the centre console to indicate how unusual this wagon is.
