BMW Motorrad India recently introduced the new M 1000 R range in India. The streetfighter is the second M model from the brand after the M 1000 RR. It is available in two trims, the M 1000 R and M 1000 R Competition and they cost Rs 33 lakh (ex-showroom) and 38 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. While the bookings have already commenced in the country, the deliveries of the new M 1000 R are slated for January 2024. Meanwhile, the M 1000 R adorns a Light White non-metallic / M Motorsport colour, on the other hand the M Competition features a Blackstorm metallic / M Motorsport shade.
The crux of the M 1000 R lies in its 999cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine equipped with four titanium valves. This power plant generates 212PS at 14,500rpm and 113Nm of torque at 11,000rpm. With this, it can achieve 100km from a standstill in just 3.2 seconds and tops out at 280kmph.
