Hyundai Creta EV spotted testing in Chennai
The all-electric Creta SUV, which Hyundai is developing, will be on sale in 2025. In the outskirts of Chennai, the first prototype, based on the most recent Creta, was spotted. By the end of 2024, series manufacturing of the Creta EV is anticipated.
Nothing about the outside suggests it is anything other than a typical Creta, with the exception of the clearly apparent floor pan expansion and the various body panel colours. The updated version of the present IC-engine platform is also anticipated to serve as the foundation for the manufacturing version. Hyundai can save costs with this strategy since it is virtually entirely localized.
The electric drivetrain and battery pack that Hyundai expects to deploy on the Creta EV in production are still unknown.
The Ioniq 5 and the Kona EV will be the only available models until Hyundai releases the Creta EV in the Indian market sometime in 2025. Also, Hyundai will entirely localize the E-GMP platform, which will be utilized for markets in India and across the world.
