New Hyundai Verna spotted ahead of launch on 21 March
Hyundai Motor India Ltd. has already started taking reservations for the all-new Hyundai Verna for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Now we have the first images of the next-gen Hyundai Verna leaked online.
Hyundai India will offer the all-new Hyundai Verna in 4 trim options, EX, S, SX and SX(O)
Hyundai has continued with its "Sensuous Sportiness" design philosophy with the new Verna. Its wide grille, split headlights, and LED light bar across the front fascia give it an Elantra-like front look.
Similar to the Elantra and , the Verna has distinct feature lines on the side. In addition to dual-tone alloy wheels, pull-type door handles, narrow LED taillights, and an LED light bar at the back, the vehicle looks to have all these features.
Two sets of engines are available for the new Hyundai Verna. One is the tried-and-true 1.5-litre NA MPi engine, which produces 115PS and 144 Nm of torque. Either a 6-speed MT or an IVT is available with this engine (Intelligent Variable Transmission). The new 1.5-litre GDi petrol engine, which produces 160PS and 260 Nm of torque, is the more thrilling engine. Its engine will be coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DCT.
The Hyundai Verna will take on the Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus as well as the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
