Honda XL750 Transalp launched in India, priced at Rs 11 lakh
Honda has taken the Indian two-wheeler market by surprise by introducing the new XL750 Transalp adventure tourer in India. The Africa Twin's smaller sibling is priced at Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike will be offered in two colors in India: Ross White and Matte Ballistic Black.
Bookings for the first 100 consumers are currently available at Honda BigWing shops.
Honda XL750 Transalp: Design and Features
The Honda XL750 Transalp, like the classic Honda Africa Twin, is a new spin on the original Transalp from the 1980s. A sharp headlight sits in an angular semi-fairing and is topped by a tall windshield. The entire bodywork flows smoothly from front to back and looks fantastic with the hefty exhaust canister.
The kerb weight is a modest 208kg, making it one of the lightest multi-cylinder ADV bikes in the country. It has tubed wire-spoke rims that are 21-inches up front and 18-inches over at the rear.
A 5-inch TFT dash displays the speedometer, tachometer, gear position indication, fuel gauge and consumption, riding modes, engine data, and other information. This display may be customized to the rider's liking, and it can be managed via the screen or the switchgear on the left handlebar.
Honda XL750 Transalp: Powertrain
The Honda Transalp 750 is driven by a 755cc parallel-twin engine that produces 92PS at 9,500rpm and 75Nm of torque at 7,250rpm. This engine is coupled to a 6-speed transmission with a slip and assist clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter. The many riding modes are Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel, and User, which may be customized based on personal tastes.
Deliveries of the Honda XL750 Transalp are set to begin next month.
