Honda launches 2022 Africa Twin Adventure Sports; prices from Rs 16.01 lakh
Honda (HMSI) has launched the 2022 CRF1100L Africa Twin 1100 Adventure Sports and the spirited adventure bike gets more than just a fresh paint scheme. Available in both, a manual and DCT variant, the 2022 Africa Twin is available in just one colour per model Pearl Glare White Tricolor for the manual which's more expensive by Rs 40,000 at Rs 16.01 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram) - and the Matt Ballistic Black Metallic colour scheme for the AT whose price has remained at Rs 17.5 lakh.
Updates to the 2022 bike over the older model include new dual LED headlamps with DRLs, cornering lamps and Android Auto connectivity (in addition to Apple CarPlay) for its 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen, and the display unit itself has been adjusted for improved visibility on the go. Also, screen can be adjusted without the need for tools.
Like with the outgoing model, power comes from a 1083cc, parallel twin, liquid cooled four-stroke engine that puts out a max 99PS at 7,500rpm and 103Nm of at 6000rpm.
As before, the 2022 CRF1100L comes packed with electronic features and rider assists that include a six-axis IMU, ABS, traction control and Bluetooth connectivity. Both MT and DCT variants get four riding mode settings Tour, Urban, Gravel and Off-road along with two customisable settings.
