Honda CB1000 Hornet SP Recalled

The Honda CB1000 Hornet SP has been recalled due to a fault in the pedal pivot, the recall is aligned with the global market action.

- Affected units are manufactured in 2025
- The change pedal pivot bolt may loosen and fall off while riding 
- The company will notify customers and replacement of the part will be done free of cost

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has announced a voluntary market recall campaign for the CB1000 Hornet SP motorcycle aligned with the global market action.

Certain units manufactured in 2025 are affected with a minor fault where excessive radiant heat from the exhaust system can soften the painted seating surface, and the change pedal pivot bolt may loosen and fall off while riding, which can affect gear shifting.

As a precautionary measure, the replacement of the affected parts will be carried out at BigWing Topline dealerships across India starting from January 2026 onwards. The replacement will be done free of cost irrespective of the warranty status of the vehicle.

The company will proactively notify customers via call/e-mail/SMS for inspection of their vehicle. Customers can also check if their vehicle falls under this campaign by submitting unique Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on Honda's website. To avoid any inconvenience or waiting at the dealership, customers can book their service appointment in advance as per their availability.

The Honda CB1000 Hornet SP is powered by a 1000cc, liquid-cooled, in-line four cylinder engine that comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The engine pushes a whopping 157.2 PS at 11,000 rpm and a peak torque of 107 Nm of peak torque at 9,000 rpm. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with a 310 mm twin discs on the front wheel and a single 240 mm rotor at the rear wheel performing braking duties. The suspension setup comprises of Showa SFF-BP USD forks up front and an Ohlins monoshock unit.

The Honda CB1000 Hornet SP tips the scales at 212 kg, has 135 mm of ground clearance, 809 mm of seat height and a fuel tank capacity of 17-litres. The bike retails at Rs 13.29 lakh.
