Honda recently made an announcement during the launch of the new Shine 100 that it is working on a more feature-rich version of the Activa with a Bluetooth-enabled digital console. Notably, about a few months ago, the brand introduced the Activa H-Smart variant with keyless functionality.

While the Activa is the highest-selling scooter in India, it still does not get a digital instrument console with Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity. However, the new Activa 6G variant will feature a digital display with Bluetooth connectivity. This new tech-laden variant is likely to sit atop in the Activa line-up and above the current range-topping Activa H-Smart.

We expected the upcoming new Activa with digital display and Bluetooth connectivity to offer a bunch of modern features, namely turn-by-turn navigation, phone battery level, call/sms alert, missed call alert, clock, and a trip meter, among others. Meanwhile, Honda might well offer the Activa H-Smart with Bluetooth-enabled digital readout.

Presently, the Activa 6G is available in three variants: Standard, DLX, and H-Smart. These variants cost Rs 74,536, 77,036, and 80,537 (all ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively. The new variant of the Activa is likely to attract a higher premium over the current variants. Therefore, it is expected to be costlier by Rs 4,000 to Rs 8,000.

The upcoming tech-laden Activa is likely to retain the 109.51cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 7.84PS and 8.90Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the Honda may launch it sometime later this year.
