BYD India, a subsidiary of BYD (Build Your Dreams), has established a deal with three Indian EV charging solution firms – Chargezone, Volttic and Indipro – to provide charging solutions to BYD e6 customers in India.

Chargezone's 650+ charging stations in 25 cities and along multiple national highways will be available to e6 consumers as part of this arrangement. Volttic also provides a number of charging choices, including Bharat AC01, Bharat DC01, AC Type 2 and CCS 2, with over 300 charging stations across India. BYD owners will also have access to Indipro's nationwide EV charging network.

The 71.7 kWh Blade Battery of the BYD e6 has a WLTC (city) range of 520 km. The All-New BYD e6 provides consumers with a safe and convenient driving experience by supporting both AC and DC fast charging, which can charge from 30 percent to 80 percent in 35 minutes.

The Blade Battery, launched by BYD in 2020, is well known worldwide for setting new benchmarks in terms of safety. BYD claims the Blade Battery is the only battery that successfully passes the nail penetration test, the most rigorous way to test the thermal runaway of batteries.

Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Sr Vice President - Electric Passenger Vehicle Business - BYD India, said, "It is matter of great pride for us at BYD to partner with these charging network players and be a part of the Electric Revolution. By enabling easy and convenient charging stations across major cities and highways, we will be supporting our customers in a smooth and happy electric driving experience. We will keep expanding the charging networks together with our partners. This is a key step towards strengthening our EV journey in the country. Chargezone, Volltic and Indipro are key players in electric vehicle charging infrastructure in India. As we step towards a cleaner and greener environment with our All-New e6, we will continue to be at the forefront of accelerating the spread of clean energy,"
