BMW X4 facelift launched in India with a starting price of Rs 70.50 lakh (ex-showroom)

Last year, the BMW X4 received an update in overseas markets, and the SUV coupe is now available in India, with pricing beginning at Rs 70.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The redesigned BMW X4 is now available for booking on BMW India's website for a few weeks, with a booking fee of Rs 50,000.

Locally produced at BMW Group Plant Chennai, the new BMW X4 will be available in diesel and petrol variants at all BMW dealerships across India from today onwards. The new BMW X4 is now also offered in a unique 'Black Shadow' version in limited numbers only.

The petrol variant, BMW X4 xDrive30i starts at Rs 70.50 lakh while the BMW X4 xDrive30d with the diesel powertrain is priced at Rs 72.50 lakh.

The new BMW X4 comes with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 255PS and 350 Nm of torque, as well as a 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder diesel engine that produces 268PS and 620 Nm. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and come standard with BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive technology.

The BMW X4 SUV gets a reworked BMW kidney grille, sharper new LED headlights with Matrix function and LED taillights. The Black Shadow Edition has an all-black paint scheme with gloss highlights on the grille, wing mirrors, exhaust pipe and wheels.

The inside of the cabin is basically comparable to that of the pre-facelift model. There are a few notable differences, including a larger 12.35-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system (up from a 10.25-inch device on the previous model), re-shaped central AC vents and new switchgear.

The fully equipped X4 M Sport comes with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a Harman Kardon surround sound system, three-zone automatic temperature control, a panoramic sunroof, hands-free parking, 360-degree cameras and cruise control, among other amenities.
