BMW M8 Competition 50 Jahre M Edition launched in India, priced at Rs 2.55 crore
BMW has unveiled the M8 Competition Coupe '50 Jahre M' Edition in India as part of the M Division's ongoing 50th-anniversary celebration and in keeping with its pledge to release no less than 10 limited edition M vehicles here. The sixth vehicle in the M special edition lineup, the M8 Competition "50 Jahre M" Edition, is offered at a special price of Rs 2.55 crore (ex-showroom).
The M8 comes in M Isle of Man Green, M Brooklyn Grey, and Aventurine Red paint schemes for the 50 Jahre M' Edition. In addition, there are additional BMW Individual paint jobs including Daytona Beach Blue, Frozen Brilliant White, Frozen Marina Bay Blue, Frozen Deep Green, and Frozen Deep Grey.
For weight reduction, there are M Carbon Fiber and BMW Laserlight components. 20-inch jet black alloy wheels with bigger tires mounted on aluminium wings, M-compound brakes, M-specific rear diffusers, and double-flow exhaust with quad pipes are also included.
The M8 Competition '50 Jahre M' Edition is powered by the most powerful V8 that BMW M GmbH has ever created for a production car. 625PS and 750 Nm are produced by the 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8. It can accelerate from a complete stop to 100 kmph in under 3.2 seconds. The M xDrive AWD system receives all the power from the V8 thanks to an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic gearbox.
Full leather Merino upholstery, M seat belts, and an Alcantara headliner are all included on the inside. Additionally, the M Carbon package is being made available for the first time in India and comes standard on the new M8. Additionally, you receive ambient lighting and a sound system by Harman Kardon that may be upgraded to a Bowers&Wilkins system. Along with other things, you also receive bucket seats, M Driver's Package, and M Carbon Ceramic brakes.
