BMW India sell out the first batch of the iX SUV
BMW India launched the BMW iX electric SUV yesterday at Rs 1.15 crore (ex-showroom) and similarly have also confirmed today that the first batch of the iX SUV has completely sold out.
Customers were able to book online and at BMW India dealerships in the first phase, which received a huge response. The all-electric BMW iX will be delivered starting in April of next year. In the first quarter of 2022, the German manufacturer will begin the second phase of reservations.
The BMW iX SUV comes in two models: xDrive 40 and xDrive 50. The BMW iX xDrive 40 produces 330PS and 630 Nm of peak torque and has a range of up to 414 kilometres on a single charge. The xDrive 50, on the other hand, produces 520PS and 765 Nm of peak torque, with a range of 611 kilometres between charges.
Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India said, "We are very excited to receive such a phenomenal response to the first-ever BMW iX. Born electric, our new technology flagship stands for a new way of life defined by mobility that is luxurious and responsible at the same time. We were confident that the first-ever BMW iX will be a sought-after product, but it has truly surpassed all expectations. With all units sold on the first day, we are now preparing to fulfil the demands of other customers who are waiting to own this exclusive electric BMW SAV."
The BMW iX comes with a standard two-year unlimited-kilometre warranty. The batteries come with a warranty that lasts for eight years or 160,000 kilometres.
The BMW iX will face off against Mercedes-Benz EQC, Audi e-Tron, and Jaguar I-Pace in the country's luxury EV segment. The BMW iX EV was officially launched with a price tag of ?1.15 crore (ex showroom) via the completely-built-up (CBU) route.
