BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance Edition launched at Rs 46 lakh
Ahead of the major upcoming festive seasons, BMW India introduced the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe 220i M Performance Edition in India today at Rs 46,00,000 (ex-showroom). The special-edition of the saloon is available in only a petrol powertrain option. The locally produced 220i M Performance Edition is exclusively available at the BMW Online shop. It is to be noted that BMW is offering the 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance in limited numbers.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance launched: Exterior and Interior
Based on the current 220i trim, the new 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance Edition adorns several M Performance design elements, such as the front kidney grill, fog lamp housing, and outside rearview mirrors in Cerium Grey. BMW has also given it M Performance stickers. In addition, the special edition model is available in a single paint scheme, called Black Sapphire metallic. Inside, the cabin is draped in Sensatec upholstery in a combination of Oyster and Black theme. Further, it comes fitted with a variety of M Performance parts, namely Anthracite headliner, gear selector wrapped in Alcantara, M Performance door pin, and door projector.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance launched: Features and equipment
BMW has equipped the 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance with a panoramic sunroof, all-LED lighting, in-cabin air filter, cruise control, dual-zone temperature control, powered front seats with memory settings for the driver's seat, three drive modes (Ecopro, Confort, and Sport), ambient lighting, parking and reversing assistant, a 10.25-inch driver display, a wireless charging pad, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with gesture control and navigation, a heads-up display, and a 10-speaker, 205-watt sound system. The saloon also gets traction control, electronic stability control, six airbags, attentive assistance, ABS, brake assist, cornering brake control, and TPMS.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance: Powertrain
Powering the limited edition BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance is a 1,998cc, inline four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol motor generating 176PS at 5,100rpm and 280Nm of torque between 1,350rpm and 4,600rpm. This engine comes paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch Steptronic Sport automatic transmission. It claims to have a fuel economy of 14.82kmpl. Meanwhile, the 2 Series Gran Coupe can go from zero to 100kmph in 7.1 seconds.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance: Prices
Priced at Rs 46 lakh (ex-showroom), the 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance commands a higher premium over the standard trim levels. For reference, the 220i M Sport and 220i M Sport Pro comes with a price tag of Rs 43.50 lakh and 45.50 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. On the other hand, the 220d M Sport costs Rs 45.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
