The very first Bharat Mobility Expo ended on February 3. Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, remarked that this year's event was a 'success' and will now be an 'annual affair'. This decision will significantly boost the whole sector since it encourages and supports ideas that propel technology. Furthermore, it will assist in consolidating India's position as a key hub for automotive global capacity, building on the country's status as one of the largest car manufacturing markets.

The event featured 28 vehicle OEMs and more than 600 auto component makers. Furthermore, around 1.28 lakh registered guests attended the three-day major event. The event was hosted by the Ministry of Commerce in collaboration with many other ministries and industry agencies, including SIAM, ACMA, Automotive Tyre Manufacturers' Association, Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles, and NASSCOM.

"Every year, the Bharat Mobility Global Expo will be an institution of ideas and innovations that will further help demonstrate India's growth story to the people of our country," Goyal told the media after the show, which took place from February 1-3 at Bharat Mandapam and Pragati Maidan halls.

The first edition of Bharat brought together India's strengths throughout the entire mobility and automotive value chains under one roof. Companies such as Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motor India, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW, among others, displayed a range of vehicles with various fuel technologies, ranging from CNG to hybrids to electric, as they emphasized the need for eco-friendly sustainable mobility in the future.

Piyush Goyal also expressed his interest in merging the Bharat Mobility Show and the Auto Expo into one organization. It only makes sense for both events to collaborate and possibly present a bigger event than before. If not, they would just create a conflict of interest.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended the Expo on Day 2, allowing certain industry leaders to personally promote their ideas.
