Aprilia X 250TH Limited Edition breaks cover

Aprilia Racing has unveiled a new ultra-exclusive track-only motorcycle, the Aprilia X 250TH, designed to deliver a near MotoGP-like experience to private owners. Created to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence, this machine is as rare as it is advanced, with just 30 units planned worldwide.

Out of the total production, 25 bikes have been allocated to North America, while only five will be available for the rest of the global market. This makes the X 250TH one of the most limited offerings from Aprilia's elite 'X' programme, which is known for producing track-focused motorcycles that bring race-level technology to enthusiasts.

At the heart of the X 250TH lies a powerful 1,099cc V4 engine that produces an impressive 240 PS at 13,750rpm. The motor has been specially tuned with a higher compression ratio and a racing airbox setup featuring dedicated intake trumpets. It also uses a high-performance air filter and is paired with a lightweight exhaust system from SC-Project, along with an STM dry clutch. These upgrades allow the engine to rev up to 14,100rpm, while keeping the bike's dry weight down to just 165 kg.

One of the standout aspects of this motorcycle is its advanced braking system. The bike features a Brembo carbon-carbon setup with large 340mm discs and carbon pads, technology typically seen only in MotoGP. This is the first time such high-end brakes have been offered on a motorcycle available for purchase. The front callipers are made from billet aluminium and include cooling fins to manage heat, while the rear uses a nickel-plated unit.

The X 250TH is built on an aluminium twin-spar frame and comes equipped with premium suspension components from Ohlins. It uses pressurised front forks and a rear shock designed specifically for track performance. The bike rides on lightweight forged magnesium wheels by Marchesini, paired with high-grip slick tyres from Pirelli.

Aerodynamics play a major role in the bike's design. Inspired by the Aprilia RS-GP, the X 250TH features a full carbon-fibre aero package, including front wings, side elements, and even winglets integrated into the seat area. It also incorporates a ground-effect system within the fairing to improve stability and grip, especially during high-speed cornering.

Electronics are handled by Aprilia's advanced APX system, which allows riders to fine-tune settings such as traction control, engine braking, and power delivery for each gear using GPS data.

Adding to the exclusivity, buyers will receive a complete track support kit. This includes a pre-configured laptop for ECU adjustments, tyre warmers, titanium paddock stands, a custom bike cover, and a dedicated garage mat.

With its race-derived engineering and limited production, the Aprilia X 250TH is clearly aimed at collectors and serious track riders seeking an experience as close as possible to a professional race machine.
