2026 Kawasaki Z1100 breaks cover

Kawasaki Z1100 has been revealed and it is available in two variants - Standard and SE. This one combines the Z styling with Sugomi concept.

The Z1100 is powered by a 1,099CC, in-line, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that pushes 136 PS at 9,000 rpm and 113 Nm of peak torque at 7,600 rpm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. Some noteworthy mentions include a highly rigid aluminium twin-tube frame, SFF-BP forks and horizontal back-link suspension are at the core of both machines.

The rider aids for the Standard and SE model includes New Electronic Throttle Valves (ETV), cruise control, dual-direction KQS quickshifter, a five-inch TFT dash with smartphone tethering, cornering management, traction control, integrated braking, power modes, and four riding modes - Sport, Road, Rain and Rider.

The Kawasaki Z1100 SE variant features Brembo brakes with radial-mount monobloc calipers and Brembo discs plus steel braided brake lines. It also uses an Öhlins S46 rear shock absorber and bike rides on Dunlop's Sportmax Q5A rubber that is wrapped on 17-inch alloy rims. The Standard variant on the other hand uses monobloc calipers are paired with large 310 mm brake discs up front.

The suspension travel for the front wheel of the Z1100 SE is 120 mm and the rear section gets 136 mm of travel. It has a wheelbase of 1,440 mm and a ground clearance of 125 mm. The fuel tank capacity is at 17-litres, and it tips the scales at 221 kg. The seat height is 815 mm.

The handlebar position has also been updated, it is now 22mm wider and 13mm further forward. Few tweaks have been done for a different riding experience, such as the flywheel mass is greater allied to a 3 mm longer stroke than the previous Z1000 model. The company claims that because of this very adjustment riders will enjoy strong performance and sharp throttle response from mid to high-rpm. The exhaust system has a 4-2-1-into pre-chamber-into-1 arrangement that contributes to the Z1100's aggressive looks and light weight.

The company says that both bikes will be available at the dealers from January 2026 with the Standard variant costing  £11,099 (Rs 13.15 lakh) and the Z1100 SE will be priced at £12,699 (Rs 15.05 lakh). Whether the bikes will be launched in India is yet to be seen, as of now, there is no word on any such action.
