2024 Bajaj Chetak e-scooter launched; prices start at Rs 1.15 lakh

Bajaj Auto has launched the 2024 Chetak electric scooter in India, with prices starting at Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The e-scooter in available in two variants: Urbane and Premium. This update brings a new battery pack, improved range and top speed, and additional features to the 2024 Chetak. While the Chetak Urbane costs Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom), the Chetak Premium is priced at Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom). For the first time, the two-wheeler manufacturer has offered TecPack with the e-scooter that comprises more features.

2024 Bajaj Chetak: What is new?

The updated electric scooter now gets a new five-inch colour TFT display, offering turn-by-turn, navigation, play, pause and change music; call alerts, and themes. There are also new self-cancelling indicators, left and right-side control switches, electronic handle lock, powered seat opening, and helmet box lamp. The optional TecPack includes various features, such as a hill hold assist function. Not to mention, the top-spec Chetak Premium benefits from a larger storage space and a reverse mode.

2024 Bajaj Chetak: Range and top speed

The crux of the 2024 Chetak is its new 3.2kWh battery pack that now provides an improved range of 127km, as per ARAI. The top speed has also gone up to 73kmph. Customers buying the Chetak Premium get an 800W charger that can provide 15. 6km range within a claimed 30 minutes.

2024 Bajaj Chetak: Colours

The 2024 Chetak Urbane is offered with Coarse Grey, Cyber White, Brooklyn Black and Indigo Metallic Blue paint schemes, whereas the 2024 Chetak Premium comes in with Hazelnut, Indigo Metallic Blue, and Brooklyn Black shades. That said, the 2024 Bajaj Chetak takes on against the likes of the Ola S1, Ather 450S, and TVS iQube.
