2023 Kia Seltos facelift India launch soon: What should you expect?

Kia India's most awaited launch of this year is no doubt the Seltos facelift and the launch of the SUV appears to be just around the corner, perhaps just a short few weeks away. It is believed that select Kia dealerships across the country have already started unofficial bookings for the 2023 Seltos facelift. The Seltos is one of the best-sellers in its segment and the second highest-selling model from the South Korean automaker. In fact, Kia entered the Indian automotive market with the Seltos as its first-ever offering. The model became immensely popular in the market thanks to its feature-list, attractive pricing, and a wide range engine and transmission options. We expect the upcoming Seltos to offer more advanced features, competitive pricing, and similar powertrain options. Here we tell you everything you should know about Kia's refreshed SUV.

2033 Kia Seltos facelift: Design and interior

The mid-cycle facelift for the Seltos does not bring a plethora of significant changes, but a few major design updates. The Seltos facelift gets a new face with redesigned grille, headlights, daytime driving lights, bumper, and bonnet. The vertically stacked LED fog lamps appear similar to the on-sale model. At the back, the most significant update comes in the form of tweaked taillights with a spilt connecting light bar. There is also a new rear bumper.

On the inside, the 2023 Seltos facelift features a fresh look, comprising a new dashboard, a dual-display setup, revamped centre console, and new dual-tone interior theme with a fresh upholstery. Other interior features include ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, multi-colour ambient lighting, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless charging pad, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, powered boot opening, and more.

2023 Kia Seltos facelift: Features

The upcoming 2023 Seltos will come with a panoramic sunroof, probably the most wanted feature for the Seltos. In addition, Kia is also likely to offer ADAS – a suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. On top of that, expect the 2023 Seltos facelift to get multiple airbags, ESC, TPMS, hill hold and descent control, ABS with EBD, brake assist, four-wheel disc setup, LED lights, powered front seats, and connected car features, among others.

2023 Kia Seltos facelift: Engine, transmission, and power outputs

The on-sale Seltos is offered with a 1.5-litre, inline four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine and 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel unit. Transmission options include a six-speed manual, iMT, CVT automatic, and torque-converter automatic. The 2023 Seltos facelift will continue with these powertrain options, along with the new 1.5-litre inline four-cylinder turbo-petrol motor that replaces the 1.4-litre turbo unit. This new engine is already available with the Kia Carens, Hyundai Verna, and Hyundai Alcazar. We expect it to be paired with a six-speed manual and a DCT automatic transmission.

2023 Kia Seltos facelift: Prices

The prices of the current model range between Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 19.65 lakh (both ex-showroom). However, with a host of new updates and features, the 2023 Seltos facelift is likely to command a higher premium.
