A video has captured the facelifted Skoda Kodiaq under camouflage. The seven-seater SUV is due for a mid-life update next year and this previews some of the changes we might expect in the refreshed Kodaiq.

The update seems to be quite a subtle one, much like the recent facelift for the Superb. At the front, there seems to a larger, more upright iteration of the Skoda butterfly grille. The headlamps seem to have been tapered sown with new segmented LED detailing, although the signature high-mounted fog lamps remain. The bumper also seems to have been tweaked with larger inlets. At the back changes seem even more subdued, the taillamps seem to have been reworked with new details and there could be a redesigned bumper.

On the inside, the facelifted Kodiaq should see some minor changes to the dash with a more touch-focused interface and a new infotainment system. A flurry of new driver aids should be made available too, but seem like an unlikely addition for the Indian car.

Although we expect to see a PHEV model added internationally, most pertinent for India will be the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine option making 190PS and 320 while paired with a seven-speed DCT and AWD. Skoda India has pushed back the launch of the petrol-powered Kodiaq significantly after the diesel was discontinued with the advent of BSVI regulations. There is still no confirmation on whether the Kodiaq returns to India in mid-2021 in facelifted form.
