2021 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross, Hi-Lander BS6: Prices and variants explained
Isuzu India has recently revealed its BS6 line-up of personal use vehicles. The Isuzu V-Cross lifestyle pick-up, the more cost-conscious Isuzu Hi-Lander pick-up and the Isuzu MU-X have all been upgraded to meet the latest emission norms. Although the new generation models, already on sale in other markets globally, haven't been introduced here.
The most notable changes with this upgrade are to the 1.9-litre turbo-diesel motor found in these vehicles. The 1.9-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel is the same as before but power has been bumped up by 13PS to 163PS at 3,600 rpm. Torque has seen a 10 Nm increase as well, now making 360 Nm at 2,000 - 2,500 rpm. The Hi-Lander is available only with a six-speed manual, the V-cross in both manual or automatic form and the MU-X is only available as an automatic. The 1.9-litre engine has seen the addition of the full array of exhaust after-treatment systems like a lean-NOx trap, exhaust gas recirculation, diesel particulate filter and selective catalytic reduction.
