Isuzu India launch BS6 2 range of vehicles along with updated features
To comply with the RDE requirements, Isuzu India has updated its passenger vehicle lineup with BS6 2-compliant diesel engines for the D-Max V-Cross, Hi-Lander, and mu-X. Cosmetic improvements have been made to both the lifestyle pickup trucks and the luxury SUV, as well as additional safety and convenience features.
The Isuzu D-Max is available in two variants: Hi-Lander and V-Cross. Hi-Lander, the entry-level model, now has automated temperature control and a rear defogger.
The 4x2 AT version of the top-spec V-Cross Z receives a slew of aesthetic changes. The front fog lights have a chrome surround, while the ORVMs have a dark grey colour cap. The 18-inch wheels have been painted gloss black. In addition, Isuzu has released a new 'Valencia Orange' colour choice across all three models.
The same 163PS and 360Nm, 1.9-litre turbo diesel engine powers all three vehicles. To comply with Actual Driving Emissions rules, the D-Max V-Cross, Hi-Lander, and mu-X have been outfitted with an idle start-stop system, low friction tyres, and, for automatic variants, a gearbox fluid warmer.
The D-Max V-Cross is offered in 2WD or 4WD configurations, both with a 6-speed automatic transmission while the latter is also available with a 6-speed manual transmission. The Hi-Lander is only available in 2WD with a 6-speed manual transmission. However, the mu-X SUV is only available with a 6-speed automatic transmission and has a selectable 4WD system.
The inside of the 4X2 lifestyle pickup truck is dual-tone, with brown accents on the dashboard, door panels, and gear selector lever. The 4X2 D-Max V-Cross now has cruise control, traction control, electronic stability control (ESC), hill descent control (HDC), and hill-start assist as safety and convenience features (HSA). Meanwhile, the Hi-Lander pickup truck now comes standard with automated temperature control and a rear defogger.
The Isuzu Hi-Lander is priced at Rs 19.50 lakh while the D-Max V-Cross range starts from Rs 23 lakh. The Isuzu mu-X starts from Rs 35 lakh. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom.
