2013 Shanghai Auto Show: Ford Escort
The Escort is back. Ford unveiled the new concept car at the Shanghai Motor Show 2013 stating that the car has been tailor made to cater to the Chinese customer's requirements. Ford says the main idea was to create a visually dynamic car that maximizes space and roominess. That too at an affordable price.
Up front the car retains the now trademark front grille that first debuted on the Mondeo with an all new LED headlight cluster. The side has a coupe like sloping roofline towards the rear and has a sharp line running all the way from the headlight to the tail light. The rear too features some trick new LED tail lights that look a bit like the Jetta's tail light.
There is no news about the interiors or the engine options as yet, but we're guessing the 1.5-litre diesel and the new 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol motor are likely to appear.
