Porsche 911 Carrera S gets Powerkit

Porsche had just launched its new 911 range across the world (except India) and the manufacturer is already out with a 'powerkit' for the cars. It focuses specifically on the dynamic abilities of the car, boosting power of the 3.8-litre boxer engine from 400PS to 430PS. With the PDK in Sport Plus mode, Porsche claims that the 911 Carrera S will race from 0-100kmph in just 4.0 seconds. The top speed also has increased by 4kmph to 306kmph with the PDK and 308kmph with a 7-speed manual box. The Powerkit package has a button which merges the two exhaust lines to create a powerful symphony.

Porsche are quick to point out that there are no changes in the fuel economy of the car despite the power hike. Visual changes to the car include a ducktail spoiler and wider air intakes on the front apron. Porsche is also offering various upgrades to the interior package ranging from decorative trim to brushed aluminium and carbon fibre inserts.
