Nissan reveals Ambition 2030 vision

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. released Nissan Ambition 2030, the company's new long-term strategy for enabling mobility and beyond. Nissan aspires to become a genuinely sustainable corporation, moving towards a cleaner, safer, and more inclusive society by responding to important environmental, social, and consumer concerns.

Nissan's aim is to provide strategic value to consumers by empowering journeys that provide confident, interesting, and more integrated experiences, and to enable society to establish a smart ecosystem with integrated mobility through collaborations.

Nissan will produce innovative, electric automobiles and technical advancements while growing its operations internationally over the next 10 years. Nissan's ambition to be carbon neutral across the life cycle of its goods by the fiscal year 2050 is supported by this vision.

Nissan has democratised electric cars (EVs) and invested in charging infrastructure and energy management as a pioneer of EVs. Nissan Ambition 2030, which places electrification at the heart of the company's long-term strategy, seeks to invest 2 trillion yen over the next five years to accelerate the electrification of its vehicle range and rate of technological innovation.

Nissan will launch 23 new electrified models, including 15 new EVs, by fiscal year 2030, in response to consumer demand for a varied variety of exciting cars, aiming for a global electrification mix of more than 50% across the Nissan and INFINITI brands. Nissan plans to boost its electrification sales mix across key markets by fiscal year 2026, with the introduction of 20 new EV and e-POWER equipped cars in the following five years.

Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida stated: "The role of companies to address societal needs is increasingly heightened. With Nissan Ambition 2030, we will drive the new age of electrification, advance technologies to reduce carbon footprint and pursue new business opportunities. We want to transform Nissan to become a sustainable company that is truly needed by customers and society."
