Nine-seater Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus spotted

A hardly camouflaged prototype model of the Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus with a nine-seater layout was recently spotted testing. The automaker had launched the Bolero Neo (a rebadged version of the discontinued Bolero Neo) three years ago. Now, Mahindra appears to be readying a nine-seater Bolero Neo Plus, which would be based on the phased-out TUV 300 Plus.

Nine-seater Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus: Highlights
As seen in the spy photos, the upcoming Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus is barely covered in any camouflage except for the model and brand logos. It may get a few cosmetic changes but is likely to retain the same overall design as the TUV300 Plus. It is expected to come with a redesigned grille, front and rear bumpers, halogen headlamps and taillamps, and alloy wheels.

Furthermore, the Bolero Neo Plus is likely to be equipped with additional features over the Bolero Neo, which features cruise control, a touchscreen infotainment system, Blue sense app connectivity, and rear parking sensors, among others.

Nine-seater Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus: Variants
According to media reports, the upcoming Balero Neo Plus will be available in a choice of three variants and two seating layouts. The two seating layouts will comprise seven- and nine-seat configurations. The seven-seat version will have front-facing bench seats in the second and third-row, while the nine-seat version will have side-facing seats in the third row.

Nine-seater Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus: Engine
It is hard to say whether Mahindra will offer a new and more powerful powertrain with the upcoming Bolero Neo Plus. Notably, the Bolero Neo is powered by a 1.5-litre mHawk engine producing 100PS and 260Nm of torque. It comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
