New Harley-Davidson X440 India launch today: What should you expect?

The Harley-Davidson X440 will launch in India today, on 3 July, 2023. The launch ceremony will be held at Hero MotoCorp's Global Centre of Innovation and Technology in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Since the American two-wheeler giant has co-developed the all-new motorcycle with Hero MotoCorp, the upcoming X440 is likely to be manufactured at the Hero's facility similar to Triumph's new Scrambler 400X and Roadster 400 will be produced at Bajaj's Chakan plant in Pune, Maharashtra. New Harley-Davidson X440: Design

The Harley-Davidson X440 is a neo-retro roadster with modern touches. With this, it comes with a round LED headlamp with a horizontal DRL, somewhat squared-shaped fuel tank, round LED indicators, alloy wheels with contrasting inserts, single-piece split seat, and side-slung tubular exhaust.

Harley-Davidson X440: Features and Specs

The roadster is likely to come with a circular digital or semi-digital cluster, all-LED lighting, a slipper clutch, traction control, dual-channel ABS, riding modes. Harley-Davidson will also equip the X440 with upside-down front forks, dual rear spring shocks, and single-disc brakes at the both ends.

New Harley-Davidson X440: Engine

Powering the Harley-Davidson X440 is a new engine. It is likely to be a new 440cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled unit paired with a six-speed gearbox. Notably, the official details about the engine displacement, power output, torque, and gearbox will be revealed at the launch.

Harley-Davidson X440: Prices and Rivals

With its expected price tag ranging between Rs 2.70 lakh and Rs 3.30 lakh, the X440 will compete against the Triumph Speed 400, Royal Enfield Hunter 350, and KTM 390 Duke.
