Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch the EQC in India in the next two weeks

Mercedes-Benz launched the EQ brand in January this year along with showcasing the brand's first offering, the Mercedes-Benz EQC EV SUV. The EQ brand is an ecosystem of electric mobility solutions that includes everything from charging services, EV-specific features and all electrified Mercedes vehicles. The German carmaker is all set to launch the EQC in the next two weeks.

The EQC looks very similar to the GLC-Class in profile with which it shares its underpinnings. The car rides on multi-spoke alloy wheels designed uniquely to suit the car's futuristic look. The front face and rear section looks completely new and it can be related to the standard Mercedes models. The front grille gets the illuminated Mercedes badging with an LED strip connecting the new headlights and the same pattern can be seen at the rear section as well with slim tail lamps. An aggressive AMG design package is also available.

Inside the cabin, two 10.3-inch with MBUX infotainment system screens take centre stage along with voice-activated functions and other features. Sleek AC vents and rose gold cabin accents stand out as distinctly.

The EQC is powered by two electric motors on each axle coupled with an 80kWh battery that produces 407PS of power and 765 Nm of torque. The motors have designated functions, the one on the front axle is tuned for efficient riding and the other one focusses a little more on performance.

Since the motors are mounted on each axle, the car gets all-wheel drive capabilities and it darts to a 100kmph from a standstill in just 5.1 seconds. The EQC has a top speed of 180kmph. The battery takes 40 minutes for 80 per cent charge with a fast charger and the company claims a range of 470km on a full charge.
