Mahindra XUV700 MX vs AX variants: What's different?

The Mahindra XUV700 was revealed to the public just a few hours before India began its 75th Independence day celebrations. The XUV700 is the beginning of a whole new era of vehicles from Mahindra, who also debuted their new logo for the first time on the XUV700.

The new Mahindra XUV700 comes with striking new looks, an exceptional interior, and many amazing first-in-class features. The XUV700 will be available with diesel and petrol engines, manual and automatic transmissions, and seating capacities of 5 and 7. It will also be offered with All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) as an option.

The XUV700 SUV will be available in two trim levels: MX and AX (AdrenoX). The AX3, AX5, and AX7 are included in the AX variant. Here's how the MX and AX variants stack up against each other.

MX Series

The MX variant is available with both the 2-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine choices. Being the most basic XUV700 in the whole lineup, Mahindra has still managed to spec it up with a decent amount of features such as an 8-inch infotainment display with Android Auto compatibility, smart door handle, LED taillamps, power-adjustable ORVM with turn indicator, day-night IRVM and R17 Steel Wheels. Pricing for the MX trim starts from Rs 11.99 lakh for the petrol and Rs 12.49 lakh for the diesel engine.

AdrenoX AX3

First up in the AX variant is the AdrenoX AX3. The AdrenoX trims get more technologically rich than the MX variant before it. The AX3 gets 10.25-inch dual-screen digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system, Amazon Alexa built-in, wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play, AdrenoX connect with 60+ connected features, 6 speakers and sound staging, LED DRL and front fog lamps and R17 steel wheels with covers. Pricing for the petrol variant of the AX3 will begin from Rs 13.99 lakh.

AdrenoX AX5

The AdrenoX AX5 is in the centre of the AdrenoX range, with more features than the AX3 below it. Skyroof, R17 diamond cut alloy wheels, curtain airbags, LED clear-view headlamps, sequential turn indicators and cornering lamps are the features that the AX5 offers over the AX3. The AdrenoX AX5 will have pricetag of Rs 14.99 lakh

AdrenoX AX7

With the last and top-of-the-line AX7, Mahindra has gone and loaded this XUV700 with a host of features on top of all the offerings on the lower trims. ADAS driver assists (adaptive cruise control, high beam assist, autonomous emergency braking and more), driver drowsiness alert, smart clean zone, dual-zone climate control, R18 diamond cut alloys, leatherette upholstery, leather-wrapped steering and gear lever, 6-way power-adjustable seat with memory function and side airbags are the list of features in this AdrenoX AX7

A 360-degree camera, flush-fitting door handles, wireless charging, a Sony 3D sound system, wireless charging, blind view monitor, and an electronic parking brake are among the available packs for the XUV700.

Mahindra is still the announce the prices of some of the XUV700's variants and are expected to do so soon. Three-row SUVs such as the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar will be the competitors to the XUV700.
