Mahindra XUV300 facelift spotted up close in camouflage
The Mahindra XUV300 facelift, anticipated early next year, will be Mahindra's next big unveiling. Now the updated sub-4 metre SUV has been spotted testing on multiple occasions in the past but this is the first time we get to see the car up close, even though it is covered in camouflage to protect the entire bodywork.
The Mahindra BE-inspired styling is visible from the exterior. Mahindra has borrowed design elements from the BE05 Electric, including as the compact headlamps and C-shaped LED DRLs. The front grille and bumper of the XUV300 will also be more noticeable.
The XUV300 is expected to be more like the XUV700 and future BE series, especially at the rear. It receives a newly revamped tailgate, and a full-width LED light strip, as seen on the BE concepts, might make an appearance. While the final tail-light design is unknown, we can glimpse some C-shaped units with LED components.
Mahindra XUV300 facelift: Interior
The most recent spy pictures reveal the bigger touchscreen infotainment system that will be included on the upgraded XUV300. To compete with its newly updated rival, the Tata Nexon, higher trims will get an all-new touchscreen interface. We're guessing it'll be a 10-inch model based on the size. There will also be a fully digital instrument cluster onboard.
In addition, Mahindra may include new amenities in the XUV300 such as a wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, and, most likely, a 360-degree camera. The sunroof, automatic climate control, steering-mounted radio controls, cruise control, six airbags, and electronic stability control are all features that should be retained.
Mahindra XUV300 facelift: Powertrains
The engine options will remain the same and comprise a 110PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, a 130PS 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol, and a 117PS 1.5-litre diesel. All engines come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, with an optional 6-speed AMT available for turbo-petrol and diesel engines.
The Mahindra XUV300 will continue to compete with the Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Nissan Magnite, and the impending Tata Nexon facelift. The current XUV300 range starts from Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom)
