India-spec 2017 Tata Nexon: Spied and production-ready images
Tata Motors is all set to launch its most anticipated compact SUV, the Nexon in the next few months. It will lock horns with the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Ford EcoSport in India. The Indian automobile manufacturer recently announced the powertrains that will be doing duty in the Nexon SUV. The all-new 1.5-litre turbodiesel engine will produce 110PS  at 3,750rpm and 260Nm at 1,500-2,750rpm. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. However, now the company has officially said that there will also be a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbopetrol motor that makes 110PS  at 5,000rpm and  generates 170Nm at 2,000-4,000rpm.
