The smooth and fast Himalayan Expressway that connects Zirakpur in Punjab to Parwanoo in Himachal Pradesh was where we got to stretch the legs of our powerful Volvo SUVs

We drove over a narrow, muddy road to Narkhanda, when the weather changed from cloudy to raining in a matter of minutes

Driving over the treacherous terrain, strewn with sharp rocks, the Volvos managed it all

Driving off-road was a first time experience for many of the participants

River rafting is one of the many activities that one can opt to do when in the Kullu Valley. These vans carry rafts upstream the river Beas after patrons are done rafting

The 'Pitch the tent' competition was entertaining for both the participants as well as the onlookers

The mesmerising Parashar Lake and the temple next to it sent most in a state of pensive silence
