Hero recently unveiled the Duet in India. The scooter will be placed between the top-end Maestro Edge and the entry-level Pleasure and Maestro. ItÂ will use the Maestro Edge's 110.9cc engine whichÂ makes 8.4PS and 8.3Nm and has a claimed fuel efficiency of 63.8kmpl when powering the Duet.Â This scooter is metal bodied andÂ weighs 116kg with a maximum payload of 130kg.Â The DuetÂ is one of the few scooters in India to feature a pass-light switch. Apart from that, the Duet also gets anÂ external fuel filler, a side stand indicator, a safety buzzer, telescopic front suspension and an integrated braking system. Other nifty features on the Duet are theÂ USB 3.0 port to charge phones and the boot light in the underseat storage.

While the Maestro Edge gets alloy wheels, the Duet sticks to steel rims

The Duet gets chrome garnishes around it to give a more premium look

The big headlamp in the Hero is an all-new unit. So are the dual-tone side view mirrors

Hero says that the seats have been builtÂ wider and larger for better comfort forÂ long commutes

The external fuel filler is quite a handy feature

The contrasting silver detail on the part-digital cluster is a little loud

The ground clearance on the Hero Duet measures up to a good 155mm

The wrap-around lamps on the rear add a modern touch to the scooter

The load carrier can carry around 10kg
