Mahindra has updated the XUV500 with a design and features update. However, unlike a typical facelift update, the 2018 Mahindra XUV500 has got an important update under the hood. Thanks to the sixth get eVGT, the 2.2-litre diesel unit in the updated offering makes more power and torque. It now makes 155PS at 3,750rpm and generates 360 Nm from 1,750 to 2,800rpm, an improvement of 15PS and 30Nm. Is there any difference in the performance of the new offering? We have answered that in our 2018 Mahindra XUV500 road test review. The 2018 Mahindra XUV500 is priced between Rs 12.32 lakhs and Rs 18.98 lakh for the diesel models and Rs 15.43 lakh for the lone petrol automatic model, all prices ex-showroom Mumbai. The cosmetic changes have given the XUV500 a much-needed refresh, but that does not look too distinct when compared to the previous update. However, there is a reason why Mahindra has made subtle changes in the SUV and not gone for a full makeover. And the reason for that is in our road test review. Scroll below to find out what all has changed in the 2018 Mahindra XUV500.
